Your exclusion settings help you define exactly the type of seller you want to compete against.

The ability to exclude certain offers, letting you target more specific competition, allows you to avoid situations where your price can drop, while solely focusing on your true competition.

What Exclusion Settings are available?

Seller Rating

This setting can be used for Amazon listings and allows you to specify the minimum seller rating that you want to compete against. Any sellers below the rating specified will be excluded from competition.

Example: If you set your seller rating to exclude all users below 80%, a user with exactly an 80% rating will be considered as competition.

Exclude/Include Sellers

This setting allows you to exclude specific competitors or include competitors whom you only want to compete against. This feature is beneficial for sellers who want to avoid competing with a specific seller who may try to drive your price down intentionally.

To create your list:

  1. Select the type of list you are creating, ("Exclude" or "Include").

  2. Select "+ New List."

  3. Give your list a name you can easily identify.

  4. Enter the Merchant ID, then click add.

Once your list is complete, click save. To remove a seller, simply select their name from the list and click on the trash can icon.

How do I find a seller's Merchant ID on Amazon?

An Amazon seller ID's are typically 13 character alphanumeric code. Seller ID can be found by clicking on the seller's name on any listing they are on.

From the new URL that populates for that page, select the Merchant ID, which comes after ""&seller="

This information will identify the Merchant ID.

Keep in mind, if your seller list is created to "include" sellers, only those sellers will be looked for as competition. If the seller in your list are not on the offer page, you will show "no competition".

Exclude Competition with handling time

This setting allows you to exclude offers with a handling time greater than the value you select. Sellers with extended handling times are less attractive to buyers and generally less competitive for the buy box.

Sellers will often change their handling time to account for periods when they are out of stock. Extended handling times may also indicate that a seller is drop-shipping or shipping from outside of the country.

If you're selling items that are time sensitive, like gifts during a holiday or peak season, excluding offers with a handling time more than 2 days would ensure that you are only competing with other offers capable of delivering within a timely manner.

Exclude Backordered Competition

When an FBA/Seller Fulfilled Prime seller has no inventory available, their offer can display on the offer page as being backordered. Backordered offers will take longer to arrive to a buyer and are less competitive for the buy box.

This setting is especially useful during a busy holiday season when many sellers will have back ordered offers on a listing. Enabling this setting will ignore any back ordered offers as competition and ensure that you are only competing with in-stock and in-transit offers.

This setting allows you to compete exclusively with Featured Sellers (sometimes referred to as Featured Merchants) while excluding all other offers from competition. Excluding Non-Featured sellers can be useful for sellers who want to avoid competing with new sellers or sellers with low ratings who are not Buy Box eligible.

Exclude Amazon as a Seller

This setting allows you to exclude Amazon as a competitor completely. This is especially helpful because you usually need to beat them by a higher percentage in order to get the buy box.

Feedback Rating

Specify the minimum seller feedback rating that you would like to compete against. Any offers from sellers with a feedback rating less than what you have specified will be ignored as competition.

Item Condition

This setting allows you to select the condition you'd like your items to compete with. Since items of worse condition are typically priced lower, you may want to use this setting to avoid repricing against items with lower condition.
